Our programms emphasize hands-on learning experiences outside the classroom, bringing students into direct contact with the works of art through study trips to galleries, museums in Moscow and across the US, the Chech Republic, Italy and China.

Faculty prepares BSc, MSc and postgraduate students in according to the state educational programme by the Ministry of Education and Science, the Russian Federation. New conception of training for future artists is the goal of educational programme. It provides as a synthesis of both classic university education, in the field of the theory and history of arts, and practical education of creative specialists in art area. Highly qualified specialists and great representatives of Russian culture (People’s and Honoured Artists of the Russian Federation) are involved in educational process.
Our faculty strives to bring a holistic vision of the world to our students. Understanding the laws and forms of its reflection in art, possessing excellent skills for creating pieces of art our graduate students are able to examine it professionally, and carry on expert and consulting work in art area.

It is an innovative programme designed by practitioners and offers you an opportunity to make theatre dance and live performance work under the supervision and guidance of acclaimed expert staff and committed to make making performance matter.You will propose a scheme of work in a specific area of performance –dance, theatre etc. and work under supervision to develop creative skills and capabilities, collaboratively with a diverse range of performance communities.

Moreover, our faculty gives an opportunity to study in summer school for international students and participate in training courses / training sessions / training workshops during the year. 
Practical disciplines: solo singing, fundamentals of vocal technique, solfeggio, piano, elementary theory of music, harmony, vocal ensemble; painting: composition, landscape, still life, portrait; drawing: objectless composition, picture and text, composition on the plane, object form in the environment, form and light, human body forms, colour and tone. 
Theoretical disciplines: integrated art studies, applied arts, non-applied arts, semiotics of art, cultural studies, criticism and expert analysis of works of art, sociology of art.
Our training programme is a dynamic combination of up to the minute performance techniques and traditional values with a considerable theatre heritage at its base. There is a strong focus on discipline which plays an undeniably vital role in success and employability.
Some lectures are delivered in English, besides, reach media are heavily provided that help greatly to learn at minimal TRKI-1level.
Summer school fee – 30 000 roubles per month.

Important informaton

Teaching in Russian language. Regarding to teaching peculiarities of applied art, TRKI-1 is a minimal level required (approx. A2 level, CEFR scale).
Dormitory is provided.
